On October 4–5, Bucharest hosted Romania’s first no-code and AI hackathon VibeHack, a fresh, creative event dedicated to those who want to build digital products quickly without writing code.

Organized as an Official Side Event of How to Web, VibeHack brought together over 60 participants — from designers and students to startup builders, founders, and AI enthusiasts — for a weekend full of energy, creativity, and “vibe coding.”
Ambasada was among the event’s key partners, helping connect the tech and startup community of Constanța with the innovation scene in Bucharest.
For us, it was an excellent opportunity to support a format that emphasizes collaboration, hands-on learning, and the real potential of no-code and AI technologies.
The central concept of the hackathon, vibe coding means building with tools, not syntax: using platforms like Lovable, Webflow, Make, Figma, ChatGPT, DesignVerse, n8n or Notion to bring ideas to life in record time.
Participants could choose between two tracks:
From sessions like “Building a Fast and Scalable MVP” to “From Vibe to Viable” or “Workflow Automations for Marketing”, participants explored how AI and no-code can accelerate the journey from idea to viable product.

Over the course of two days, teams built real prototypes, received feedback from mentors, and presented their projects to the jury during the Vibe Awards.
Unlike a traditional hackathon, VibeHack didn’t focus on technical perfection, but rather on creativity, execution, and energy.

The jury evaluated the projects based on criteria that reflected the spirit of the event:
More than the final prototypes, the judges looked for the story behind the process — how the idea was conceived, how the tools were combined, and what the team learned along the way.
After two intense days of brainstorming, prototyping, and pitching, vibes have spoken.
Three teams stood out for their creativity, execution, and energy:
🏆 Vibecoding Award – Slobo
An AI-powered iOS app that explores the dynamics between the user and social media.
👥 Daniel-Valentin Tascu, Vlad Parau, Robert Bercaru

⚡ Automation Award – vibecheck
A platform that helps photographers quickly build their portfolios and get discovered more easily.
👥 Radu Minea, Ioana Dinu, Stefan Anghel

💡 Most Viable Vibe – Scout Society
An Erasmus+ application that connects young people and organizations, helping them find verified opportunities and manage their applications with ease.
👥 Iulia Golea, Ciprian Sfirlogea, Maria Dăianu, Andrei Cristea

Each project brought a unique perspective on how AI, no-code tools, and human creativity can work together to generate real, fast, and relevant solutions.

For Ambasada, it was a pleasure to be part of an event that celebrates curiosity, learning, and innovation, values that are deeply rooted in our own DNA.
We’re proud to have joined a team that is setting new standards for what hackathons can look like: more inclusive, more expressive, and more human-centered.
