Teodora Moraru, Co-founder of Ambasada: Presentation at FABIZ on How to grow your Startup

November 12, 2025

Teodora Moraru, co-founder of Ambasada and Vicepreședinte UNPR-RSE, was invited to deliver a presentation as part of the MBA „Business Administration and Innovation Management”, organized by the Faculty of Business Administration in Foreign Languages (FABIZ) within the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, in collaboration with the University of Wuppertal, Germany.

From Idea to an Investable Startup

The presentation — “How to develop yourself and your business in the startup ecosystem”— explored the key stages in a founder’s journey: from idea validation and team building to scaling and preparing for investment.

Teodora shared practical insights on how to build an “investable” startup, emphasizing:

  • understanding the market and users’ real needs,
  • building a complementary team,
  • crafting a clear and compelling business story for investors,
  • and maintaining a balance between rapid growth and sustainability.

Lessons about People, Not Just Business

Beyond frameworks and growth plans, the presentation offered an authentic perspective on the personal and professional development of founders — focusing on continuous learning, mentorship, and the importance of community.

“It’s always valuable when we can connect practical community experience with the academic environment. For me, it was a joy to speak with students about the challenges and realities of being a founder — and about how you can turn a local context into a global opportunity.”

A Collaboration that Builds Bridges between Education and Entrepreneurship

The presentation took place at the invitation of Prof. Dr. Christine Volkmann, who leads the Chair of Entrepreneurship and Economic Development to University of Wuppertal and holds the UNESCO Chair in Entrepreneurship and Intercultural Management.
She is also the founder of the Women Entrepreneurs in Science, project dedicated to supporting women founders and promoting innovation within the academic environment.

For Ambasada, participating in this initiative was both an honor and a natural step toward international collaboration, aiming to connect the startup and innovation ecosystems of Romania and Germany.

“It was an honor for Ambasada to be part of this initiative, and we look forward to continuing the collaboration, building new bridges between education and entrepreneurship.” — Teodora Moraru, Co-founder of Ambasada
