Beta Nights #12, Local Flavours & What’s Next?

Beta Nights #12 at Mizuumi brought founders and creators around one table, with local tastings from Flavours of Dobrogea, a 15-minute talk by Alexandru Mindra, and the launch of the Ambasada Membership card.

What happens when people who would probably never meet otherwise end up at the same table?

That’s the idea behind Beta Nights, and on September 17, the twelfth edition brought together local and international founders, developers, creators, and curious minds at Mizuumi in Mamaia for another evening of conversations, ideas, and a few unexpected connections.

Different backgrounds, one shared table

The evening started the way Beta Nights usually does: people arriving, grabbing a drink, introducing themselves, and discovering what everyone else is working on. Conversations that moved from “What do you do?” to “What are you working on?” and eventually to “What do you think about everything else?”

This time, there was something extra to discover: Flavours of Dobrogea.

Through Flavours of Dobrogea, local producers brought a taste of the region to the table, giving participants a chance to explore the people, products, and traditions behind Dobrogea’s culinary identity. Because getting to know a place is a little easier when you can actually taste what makes it special.

Ambasada Membership, now in your wallet

Between conversations and tastings, we introduced something new of our own: Ambasada Membership, now available as a digital card through ambasada.pro/card.

The idea goes beyond having another card on your phone. Members can access a growing collection of community perks, startup credits, discounts, tools, and programs from Romania and around the world.

We want the seaside ecosystem to work together, with founders, developers, designers, creators, and local businesses discovering ways to support one another. A little less working in separate corners, a little more building things together.

And now, that connection has a place in your digital wallet. Hopefully, with fewer chances of losing it than a physical card.

15 minutes of ideas, hours of conversation

The evening continued with our short community talk, featuring Alexandru Mindra from NovaFlow.

The format is simple: one person, 15 minutes, and an idea worth sharing. Enough time to introduce a topic, challenge a few assumptions, and give everyone something to think about and discuss for the rest of the evening.

As expected, participants picked up on the ideas, exchanged perspectives, asked questions, and continued discussing the topics alongside the local products brought by Flavours of Dobrogea.

Which is, after all, the point. A good talk gives you something to think about; a good community gives you someone to think it through with.

The night goes on

Beta Nights #12 brought together different worlds that have more in common than they might seem: technology, entrepreneurship, creativity, local culture, and the people making things happen in Constanța and beyond.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us, Alexandru Mindra, Flavours of Dobrogea and its local producers, and everyone helping make this community a little more connected with every edition.

No stage required. Just good people, good ideas, and occasionally something delicious on the table.
