Beta Nights Hit the Beach… and It Just Worked
Beta Nights moved to ZooM Beach, same easy format, good people, and a lot more summer energy.
Some formats you don’t mess with. You just find them a better view.
Beta Nights started simple, no “turn to the person on your left and introduce yourself” energy. Just people who build things, a drink in hand, and conversations that go wherever they want to go. The previous ones, at Groove Alt Social Bar, made the point loud and clear: take away the pressure to perform, and real connection shows up on its own. No forced smiles, no awkward elevator pitches, just founders, operators, and the genuinely curious talking openly about what’s working, what’s a mess, and what we’re all still trying to figure out.
So this time we kept everything that worked and changed the one thing that could make it even better: the setting. We moved Beta Nights to ZooM Beach in Constanța. Same format. New place. More music, more drinks, and a whole lot of summer energy no conference room could ever fake.
And honestly? Moving it to the beach felt right.
The night did exactly what these nights do. Founders, builders, tech people, and curious newcomers showed up, said hi, stayed for a drink, brought friends, and added to the mood. Conversations started easy and drifted into the good stuff, startups, pivots, “what’s next,” the messy middle nobody puts on a pitch deck, without ever feeling like a job interview.
What stood out this time was how mixed the room was. It wasn’t only IT people in a bubble. As one attendee put it:
What I liked the most was the atmosphere and the people. Everybody had something interesting to say, not just in the IT field but also from other areas. For example, someone managing international cargo shipping. We also played some games.
That’s the whole point. The best conversations aren’t the ones you plan. They’re the ones that come from putting interesting people in the same place and getting out of the way.
What Ambasada keeps getting right is creating a space where this kind of honesty is the default, where new faces, familiar friends, and oddly specific conversations all live in the same evening, and stick with you long after the bar tab is closed.
